Our Clinical Director is Francis Acquah. He has consulted on multiple trans-cultural initiatives, including the African Australian Welfare Bureau and Project Sunrise. Project Sunrise is an Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD) initiative of the Victorian African Communities Action Plan and funded by the Victorian state government created in 2022. Its function is to deliver AOD outreach and education with the aim of improving health and well-being outcomes for young African people Victoria-wide.

He has evolved his approach to treatment over the past three decades by maintaining his steady interest in research, as shown in his appointment to the Board of the Australian College of Mental Health Nurses for 2022.

In 2024 Francis Acquah AM was appointed as a Member of the Order of Australia in recognition of his significant contributions to mental health care in the community.
