NDIS Housing

PWRC provide several housing options for NDIS participants who require additional support. These housing options include short & medium-term accommodation and respite housing.

We also work closely with SIL (Supported Independent Living) and SDA (Specialist Disability Accommodation) providers to best meet our clients’ requirements.

The advantages of NDIS housing

NDIS housing is funded by the state and territory governments and is designed to enable participants to live as independently as possible. The program offers funding for seven different housing segments, allowing the landlords and participants to choose the best type of accommodation for their needs. While the process of obtaining NDIS housing is not straight forward, there are some advantages.

NDIS housing is funded by state and territory governments

NDIS housing, funded by the federal and state/territory governments, offers affordable homes for people with disabilities. The Australian Government contributes $53 billion, with an additional $32 billion from states and territories. Eligible individuals can choose among various service providers, such as private companies and government agencies, provided their dwellings meet specific accessibility standards (e.g., at least 15% accessible space).

Funding is sourced from multiple streams, with the government committed long-term through intergovernmental agreements, although the funding levels may fluctuate over time.
