Creating Wellness Opportunities for a Greater Life.
FUNDI HOMEWORK GROUP
Fundi Homework Club is a free online program that supports people of African migrant backgrounds to improve their educational engagement by removing barriers and increasing access to the learning support they need. The Club is available to students in Primary and Secondary schools aged 5–18.
Fundi responds to an emerging need to promote the engagement of young people in their education around the Whittlesea, Hume, North and Regional areas and to equip parents with the knowledge and skills to parent, live and learn comfortably in Australian society by fostering social cohesive, through a healthy and fully participating African community.
The Fundi club’s goals are to “aim to build flourishing, connected and cohesive African children, families, schools and community in Whittlesea.”
The Fundi Homework Club is funded by The Department of Education under the Victorian African Communities Action Plan (VACAP), Australian Communities Foundation (ACF), City of Whittlesea and Australian Drugs Foundation (ADF).
